As I continue with my latest project, "Believing, Becoming, Being," I will begin to post a few sections of the book. I'm hoping to release it by the fall. Here is my first excerpt.
----------
"My Spirit Guide, help me to open my mind and my heart to recognize the true reality of all things, animate and inanimate."
"Greetings Hans, am I to understand your willingness to begin the journey of awakening? If that is so, I welcome you to your 'Path of Truth.' What brings you here?"
"O Spirit Guide, I have been deep in thought about the physical world around me and the invisible one hidden deep within my mind. I am looking to understand my purpose in life and, at the same time, am seeking the inner peace surpassing all understanding. Life, I believe, can't be wholly about material possessions and accomplishments."
"Searching for that inner void and something more profound is normally the beginning of one's spiritual quest, Hans. It's a search, which sparks the individual's awakening to who they really are. Material possessions can never fill the void of spiritual deficiency."
"I believe this search requires a shift in consciousness freeing me from the attachments and illusions surrounding me in my daily life."
"Yes Hans, the spiritual search is a search for self realization where the search for inner truth becomes the priority and the physical blockages are slowly eroded away. You'll be creating a new you."
"I'll be born again?"
"Yes Hans, you'll be born again. Have you begun your quest yet?"
"I have begun to meditate and pray regularly and have begun to listen to my intuitive messages."
"That sounds like a wonderful start. You must realize that silence is the highway where internal divine messages appear uninhibited and unedited by the ego."
"Thank you Spirit, too often it seems unproductive as messages appear to contradict with my material world, creating a dichotomy of truths as I understand them."
"Embrace your uncertainties; they present learning opportunities. Seeking and questioning will help you grow spiritually and address challenges along the way."
"I've had moments of clarity, my Spirit Guide, by feeling a deeper connection to things around me. At the same time questions of uncertainties arise inhibiting my journey forward. It's like a roller coaster ride of emotions."
"Therein lies the beauty of your journey. If it were easy you would not totally embrace its completion and continue to doubt the spiritual nature of all things. Those moments of clarity you refer to are actually moments of awakening, a glimpse, if you will, of your Spiritual reality. Remember, you're never alone on this journey and if you require assistance or have questions regarding the nature of things, be sure to contact me, or any of your guides. We will not forsake you."
